This is a game involving a lot of skill, tactics and eye to hand coordination and is the most popular table game for spectators and television. Billiards was the original game dating way back to early 1800s with the first form of snooker being derived from it around 1875 by british army personel in india. The name is believed to have come from the military term for new soldiers or rookies  which was to be called a snooker.
